As a 46 year old based in an office job, years of poor posture and not being very interested in routine exercise I guess you could call me fairly typical for a male of my age. I had some initial reservations about what benefit I would get from signing up with a personal trainer as I had been a member of another local gym for a number of years and found that support from their personal trainers was of a fairly cursory nature and that after a short time my attendance started to slip. It was only when I met with Chiraag Patel and that through his commitment and persistence he has been able to provide me with an understanding in how to improve my posture and overall fitness level.

In the 6 months we have worked together I have gradually learnt more about my muscle development and the correct method of exercise. In addition to my exercise routine Chiraag also conducts physiotherapy to reduce muscle tension and aid the development of the correct muscle groups during exercise. Because of this unique combination of educational therapy and exercise I now understand how exercise is helping me. I feel less stressed with my work and for the first time in my life I actually look forward to my workouts.

1.What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?
The need for one on one training following a serious injury to my arm. Also due to lack of ‘gym knowledge’ and needing someone to motivate me to achieve my goals.

2.What results have you achieved since starting your program?
Much stronger, faster and overall leaner. Able to make leg ups look easy! Much more aware of what is happening to your body during the training session and why.

3.What do you like best about our program/ having a trainer?
Starting to actually enjoy going to the gym instead of looking at it as a chore. The one on one training is designed specifically for your goals and isn’t just a generic training programme given to all so you definitely don’t feel like your average gym user. The fact that the trainer knows what he is talking about and can answer any question on training and nutrition and that it feels like a 24hour service and not someone who takes your money and doesn’t care…..

4.What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?

Fewer pains, loss of fat and more toned.

Intensity of the workout, motivation and introduction to new exercises. Knowledge gained through understanding exercises in relation to the body. Alternative exercises, particularly when a part of the body needs recovery.

1.What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?
After training on my own for 6months, mainly focusing on cardio and doing weights, I realized I needed to start toning my body and concentrate on certain parts e.g. arms, stomach and thighs. Was finding it hard to keep myself motivated and a lack of knowledge about toning muscles etc was holding me back.

2.What results have you achieved since starting your program?
Since starting my training program with Chiraag using his Body Conscious Conditioning system, I generally have more energy and strength, core is getting stronger, looking more toned, losing weight as clothes don’t fit, I’m looking slimmer and I Feel good.

3.What do you like best about our program/ having a trainer?
Best thing about having Chiraag is that he keeps you motivated, and pushes you along the way and monitors your progress. My knowledge is increasing and I have learnt a lot about my body that I wouldn’t have noticed if I were training on my own.
I enjoy the fact that each lesson is different to the last and is tailored to your needs. I feel that I am learning to do exercises properly e.g. holding the correct posture, using the right training methods etc… as this was always a concern for me. I like the fact that we work on muscles that are really weak and develop and build different techniques to strengthen these parts.

4.What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?
I would definitely recommend Chiraag & his Body Conscious Conditioning system as it keeps you motivated, you learn a lot not just about training yet about yourself, and an hours lesson does go by quickly as I enjoy them a lot. Your program can be tailored to your specific needs and it is up to you how long you sign up for.
